6 yards of white, 5 yards of pale green solid or small print. a 42"X 46" piece of batting or a bit larger to begin with.Directions:
From White cut nine 10 1/2" square blocks. 16 squares 2 1/2" and two 4 1/2" X 38" strips for the top and bottom borders, two strips 2 1/2" X 46" for the side borders. From pale green cut 24 strips 2 1/2" X 10 1/2" for the sashing. Rest of pale green is for the backing. The patterns were originally ment to be painted with liquid embroidery onto the white fabric. I thought perhaps these could be done in redwork, painted with a good fabric paint or for the appliquer's perhaps made up that way.For the following patterns print page for full size pattern.
